Sofia Amal Hassan

Sophia Amal Hassan is a licensed mental health clinician in the state of Florida. She earned her master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling from Florida Gulf Coast University and her Ph.D. from the University of Texas. She specializes in post-partum, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, divorce, hoarding, infertility, narcissistic personality, obsessive-compulsive

disorder, parenting, racial identity, and self-esteem. She holds a certificate in EMDR. She has experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in addressing issues of anxiety,  depression, trauma recovery/PTSD, eating disorders, addiction, and personality disorders. Amal provides a non-judgmental protected space, irrespective of ethnicity or sexual orientation, to process difficult emotions, learn coping skills, and access strengths and empowerment.
